Now I am sure that you are all about those message bills that are big on talk and low on substance, but unfortunately most of those have been taken. But hey, how about you run a bill that finds a way to pay for all of this messaging? I agree, that is a very smart idea, what with our massive budget surplus. Here is what you are going to do: attach your name to H.B. 114 and hope no one catches wind of it – hell even if the do, you are in American Fork for God sake – they would vote for the Devil himself so long as he were a registered Republican.

Now hear me out on this one. H.B. 114 is going to tell the Division of Finance to set up the “Abortion Litigation Trust Account,” sounds harmless enough, right? If people want to pay into this account, well by damn they can. Now the state has the funds to go out and purposefully – PURPOSEFULLY – break the law – knowing full well that they are doing so and knowing full well that they are going to go to court. Genius, I know!

With that money we are going to fight, and by God, we…might…win.

You know those crazy liberals out there are not going to like it. They will point out silly little facts like “who pays for things once the account runs out (as it most likely will)?” Or “is this something we should really be discussing during our (alleged, you know how they like to exaggerate) economic woes?” But my personal favorite is “should the state be spending time and money on something they know will bog down our best legal minds for at least three years?” Pish, crazy liberals.

I hear that “Blue in Red Zion” guy things you are one of the most hackneyed legislators out there who does not deserve to be doing the states business. But, hey, he is a crazy liberal too.
