Now I know that the far-righters out there really don’t want Obama as President, but this is pushing it even further than the whole “is Obama a citizen?” “controversy.”

If we push Wallace’s logic to its natural extreme, the will of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court could simply deny a democratically elected president the office simply because they refuse to recite the oath.

I would also like to point out that the Constitution has already taken care of this in the 20th Amendment, Section 1:

The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January…of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.
