Now, before I begin, I will fully acknowledge that I make my fair share of typographical, grammatical, and syntax errors while writing posts for my blog, but I work in a medium wherein I can make edits after making a statement.
Now let us suppose that you are a homophobe who is working in a medium wherein you only have 10 or so words to get your point across…wouldn’t you think you would spend a little bit of time trying to get it right the first time? At the very least you would throw away your poster and try again…all while mutter obscenities under your breath for having to do it again. Well apparently this woman just does not get it (photo from Glen Warchol over at the SL Crawler).
Does she look familiar? Is it because she is the same person I talked about a few days ago?
The first time I let the grammatical error slide, but I am sorry, you have lost that privilege. You need commas and and an “s” to the end of endorse, you dipwad. Also “today,” though grammatically correct after commas are added, is in an awkward place and should really be put after “Governor.”
This brings me to my second point – public relations. Errors such as this and a poorly conceived ad do not make you or our group sound intelligent on the issue. By making these mistakes, you make it more difficult for the more “learned” members of the anti-gay debate have to either defend your actions or force them to show weakness in their arguments. Indeed, Carl Wimmer, a staunch supporter of your general cause, does not like you, saying that “They (America Forever) make a lot of us look bad.”
So, please take my advice, either make a better argument or just shut up. I have passed the point where I am angry at you and just want to pat you on your helmet covered head and give you a cookie.
I mean jeez, even the Westboro Baptist Church knows how to make posters.
