Primer: America Forever is a hateful organization that is lacking in facts and grammar – like all radical groups should be. I can see several bald face lies and paradoxical statements (trying to prevent civil war by taking up arms), and interesting conclusions – Closing down NASA (sub note, is NASA closed down?) will lead to economic instability, so we need to reduce government spending.
You may remember that I have mocked them, rightfully so, in the past.
Call these people out on their BS…The following were passed around at the Tea Party that took place yesterday at the capitol. Five points to whomever finds a) the most spelling/grammatical errors, b) the most logical fallacies, c) the most illegal statements:

NASA needs to close down its manned spaceflight programs, which are a waste of money. Instead, we ought to have more support for robotic space exploration and earth resources satellites.
It was educational to learn that apparently there is a secret amendment to the constitution (probably part of the Obama plot to break apart the nation) that will allow Obama to continue to serve four more years in the event of a “conflict in the nation”. I guess this makes him President for Life. Lyndon Johnson was robbed.
Yes, it was painful to read. What appears to be increasingly obvious, in my opinion, especially as an atheist, is the simultaneous rise in religious fundamentalism with increasing calls for violence or revolution. Sinclair Lewis stated it years ago with prescience – “when fascism comes to America, it will be draped in the flag and carrying a cross.”
What confuses me is that, as a nonbeliever, it appears my moral philosophy, my ethic, does more to include the poor and weak than theirs expressly does.
It appears we live in a brave new world where black is white, hot is cold, and good is seemingly evil.
Where do we go from this new reality, this faux politic? It isn’t clear to me, at all. But, I live in Utah, and call it my home, so it weighs on mind. I guess I’ve resigned myself to the simpler tasks – growing food, feeding the chickens, and helping where I can. I’m open to religious dialog, but I sincerely doubt that they, these American Taliban, are interested in honest debate.
It should concern us that, after 2000 years of Christianity, we see more rotten fruit than fresh.
And with that, I’ll wish everyone a very good Friday.
